CoroCoro Comic has announced that it will release an anime series for Splatoon, that will be based on the manga series penned by Sankichi Hinodeya.
This had been previously serialised and published in the Japanese monthly magazine, and the anime, which will follow the events that unfold in the manga, will appear on the CoroCoro YouTube channel on Saturday 12th August.
It stars Blue Team and sees them take on other Inkling teams in Turf War, introducing new weapons and stages that had appeared in the Wii U exclusive.
Back in April, VIZ Media had shared that they were localising the Splatoon manga series for a western release, although we haven’t heard any more since then.
