Nintendo has looked to build on the success that they saw with the Squad Battle mode in Splatoon, introducing a new League Battle mode in Splatoon.
Squad Battle had, to put it simply, let friends form a group of up to four players to compete against other squads in Ranked Battles.
League Battle will have a similar format in letting you play in groups of either two or four players, and will then challenge you to earn as many points as possible within a two-hour period. The results will then be displayed in rankings, with Nintendo hoping that it will help players compare themselves to how other teams are performing and provide goals to continually strive for.
Splatoon 2 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 21st.
