Whilst the Wii U fails to ignite at retail, industry veterans are still continuing to throw their weight behind placing confidence in Nintendo.
“I’ve been pretty up front about my enthusiasm for Nintendo,” explained Epic Mickey creator Warren Spector. “I think we need a company that’s dedicated to games.
“Every time I visit Nintendo, I’m relieved to have spent time in a place where you can just feel how much everyone loves games. And, really, how many times have people written Nintendo off? I think you underestimate them at your peril.”
The company’s recent Nintendo Direct began to unravel a strategy to deliver a steady stream of first-party and third-party software for the console from summer, with their hour-long E3 2013 presentation sure to see them aiming big.
