Illam has confirmed a release date for its 3D spatial puzzler Mirage: Ignis Fatuus on Nintendo Switch.

The world is short of Mana, meaning that Mirage, the city of illusions, is nearing collapse. You must help Kyuboy’d make his way through mind-boggling puzzles to save his hometown.

Having taken inspiration from indie classics such as FEZ and Monument Valley along with inheriting the principles of 2017’s Mirage: Illusions, the puzzle introduces RPG elements like inventory management, which let you pick up and set objects to modify the walkable landscape.

The developer has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

  • Explore the city from four distinct angles and manipulate its very structure to solve intricate spatial challenges.
  • Your choices shape the fate of Mirage and its inhabitants, with a branching narrative path to explore.
  • Discover the truth behind the crumbling city and the forces that threaten its existence.

Mirage: Ignis Fatuus will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 18 April 2025.
