Spain struck by sudden Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water stock shortages

Now nearly a week away from launch, Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water has been hit by unexpected stock shortages in Spain.

Revogamers reports that Xtralife has notified customers that the Limited Edition shipment allocated to the online retailer has been drastically reduced by 60 percent.

That has led to broad cancellation of existing pre-orders, which have been approached in chronological order to make sure that more longstanding pre-orders are honoured.

As to why there has seemingly been an underproduction is unclear, with other retailers and chains indicating that they are expecting the same number of copies that were promised at the start.

Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water will release exclusively for Wii U in Europe and North America on October 30th.
