Sons of a Bit have announced that they now become an official Wii U developer.

The news fuels hope that the indie developer will bring IslaBomba to the console, a puzzle-action game in which the player goes up against the tyrannical King Nasty. He wishes to turn the island into an amusement park of sorts – with a paddle court, kart circuit and bowling alley – with the player separately controlling a penguin, rabbit and turtle to throw the ruler’s bombs into differing substances before they explode.

IslaBomba’s slated for Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android and Xbox 360, with a PlayStation 3 and Wii U release still to be confirmed.
