SEGA has released the second episode in a two-part Sonic Mania Plus developer video series, reflecting on the original Sonic Mania and the approach to expanding upon it with Sonic Mania Plus.
This sees Sonic series producer Takashi Iizuka and Sonic Mania Plus lead program developer Christian Whitehead reflect on the community’s positive reaction to Sonic Mania and how it had influenced the creation of Sonic Mania Plus.
They talk more about their collaborative process to release and Sonic Team’s motivation to building on what has become the highest-rated new Sonic the Hedgehog game in 15 years.
Sonic Mania Plus is now available at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
