SEGA have shared that Sonic Lost World has now achieved sales of more than 640,000 copies worldwide, across Europe, North America and Japan.

The Wii U and 3DS exclusive was released as part of a worldwide partnership between the publisher and Nintendo, with Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games also forming part of such arrangement.

Last week brought news of Sonic Boom, the third and final title under such partnership, which is being developed by western studio Big Red Button Entertainment under close collaboration with SEGA’s own Sonic Team, although no release window was provided.
