Sonic Lost World makes promising UK chart debut

Sonic Lost World, which was met divisively by critics last week, has debuted just shy of the top 10 in the UK all-format charts.

The Deadly Six weren’t enough to scare away those looking forward to the blue blur’s Wii U debut, seeing it place 11th. Nintendo, already hoping that it will boost 2DS sales, will surely hope that it will see continued success into the Christmas season.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y slipped down a placing to fill fourth and fifth, making way for Skylanders: SWAP Force which debuted in third. It was downhill for most other releases too, the only climbers being Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
