Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric receives hefty 1.1GB update

With Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric having severely been hampered by an inconsistent frame rate, poor camera control and a general smattering of bugs, SEGA have quietly rolled out a software update in an attempt to begin to address such issues.

Weighing in at a hefty 1137MB, this visibly displays that the game has been updated to Version 1.1.0 on the main menu. Although, with patch notes being absent, we’re left to try and work out for ourselves what’s been addressed.

The only thing that’s definitely been eradicated is the Knuckles exploit, that had allowed players to use a special attack, pause and repeat to bypass the game’s scenery and reach its conclusion in under an hour. Which, inadvertently, was perhaps the most brilliant aspect of the Wii U exclusive in the first place…
