SEGA has announced plans to release a Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice Launch Edition in North America, while confirming that the Nintendo 3DS exclusive will be playable at E3 2016.
The Launch Edition will include three episodes of the accompanying Sonic Boom animated series on DVD, namely “Chili Dog Day Afternoon,” “It Wasn’t Me, It Was the One-Armed Hedgehog” which sees Metal Sonic make an appearance, and the season one finale “It Takes a Village to Defeat a Hedgehog” in which the infamous Shadow stars.
“This is a milestone year for Sonic, and part of the way we’re celebrating his 25th anniversary is by thanking fans with exciting promotions and content. This is the first time that we’re going to package a game with Sonic Boom episodes, and we feel it will serve as a special gift to the fans,” comments SEGA of America’s chief brand officer Ivo Gerscovich.
Those that want to take Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice for a spin at E3 2016, should head to the ATLUS booth #4810 in West Hall.
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America on September 27th, Europe on September 30th, and Australia on October 1st.
