SEGA of America has announced an official party to celebrate 25 years since Sonic the Hedgehog first saw release on SEGA Genesis.
The Sonic 25th Anniversary Party will take place at the House of Blues in San Diego on Friday 22nd July, having been planned to coincide with San Diego Comic-con.
The event promises special guests, musical performances by Crush 40 and Hyper Potions, exclusive 25th Anniversary merchandise and more unannounced activities, with SEGA teasing that attendees will be given “the exclusive first look at the future of Sonic.”
Tickets are priced at $25 and may be purchased here, covering entry, food and “limited edition merchandise” that will be given away at the party.
