Abylight Studios and Frictional Games have confirmed a release date for their sci-fi horror game SOMA on Nintendo Switch.
Set deep beneath the surface of the Atlantic Ocean, it is “an unsettling story about identity, consciousness, and what it means to be human.”
The radio is dead. Food is running out. The machines have started to think they are people. The underwater facility PATHOS-II has suffered an intolerable isolation, and tough decisions must be made.
Fighting to survive in a hostile world that forces you to question your very existence, you must delve through locked terminals and secret documents to uncover the truth behind the chaos.
Searching for the last remaining inhabitants and participating in the events that will ultimately shape the fate of the station, danger lurks around every corner, whether that be corrupted humans, twisted creatures, insane robots, or even an inscrutable omnipresent A.I.
SOMA will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 24 July 2025.
