Ripstone Games has teamed up with Lab42 and World Snooker to release Snooker 19 on Nintendo Switch, promising to “deliver the most authentic, realistic, and best-looking snooker game ever made.”

This officially licensed game will have 128 of the world’s best players like Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Selby and Ding Junhui, playing in iconic venues such as The Crucible and Alexandra Palace.

With multiplayer modes, a single-player career mode that’s linked to real tournaments and TV-style presentation, you will have the chance to compete in every major tournament that will culminate with the World Championship in Sheffield.

“To be able to pick up and controller and play in the tournaments that make or break careers against anyone in the world, will be an incredible experience,” explains former World Champion Shaun Murphy. “I can’t wait for the chance to try the game out, I’m sure it will make for a truly immersive experience.”

World Snooker digital media manager Lewis Ward adds: “As a sport, snooker has gone from strength to strength in the past decade and, at the same time, sports gaming has revolutionised. This is what makes working with Ripstone and Lab42 so exciting; seeing them create a state-of-the-art game that will deliver the most authentic snooker experience ever.”

Snooker 19 will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2019.
