Snooker 19 Coming To Nintendo Switch On August 23rd

Ripstone Games, Lab42, and World Snooker have announced when Snooker 19 will release on Nintendo Switch.

This officially licensed, Unreal Engine 4 powered game will have 128 of the world’s best players like Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Selby, and Ding Junhui brought to life using 3D facial scanning technology, playing in iconic venues such as The Crucible and Alexandra Palace.

There’s a single-player career mode that’s linked to real tournaments and has been created with TV-style presentation, or global online tournaments to participate in that link in real-time with the live World Snooker calendar.

And, if you want a shorter session, there is quick play online match-making or fully customized matches of full snooker, 6-red snooker, and fast-paced Shoot-Out snooker.

“We’re excited to announce that Snooker 19 is coming to Nintendo Switch on August 23rd and is available to pre-order right now through the Nintendo eShop and at select UK retailers,” explains Lab42’s Justin Forrest.

“With access to all the pro players, arenas and official tournaments, it’s a dream to be bringing the most authentic snooker game to date to Nintendo Switch; a platform that myself and the team here at Lab42 absolutely love.”

Ripstone PR and marketing manager Hollie Pattison adds: “The Nintendo Switch version of Snooker 19 is the perfect mix of authenticity and convenience; bringing together an impeccable true to life snooker experience with the ability to play when or wherever you like.

“Officially licensed by World Snooker and featuring an array of play styles including an in-depth career mode, local multiplayer matches supporting two Joy-Con controllers and online tournaments; Snooker 19 is the perfect fit for Nintendo Switch.”

Snooker 19 will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on August 23rd priced at £29.99 (€34.99). The physical release can also be pre-ordered at retailers such as Amazon UK and GAME, priced at £34.99.
