Smyths Toys has announced that its stores will hold midnight launch events for Nintendo Switch 2 in the United Kingdom, at which it will have “limited” Nintendo Switch 2 consoles in stock to purchase.
“We will open selected stores at 11pm on Wednesday, 4th June for an exciting Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Event!” the retailer shares on its in-store events page.
“Take part in an exciting Mario Kart World gameplay demo. Plus the first 100 attendees will receive a FREE goodie bag packed with awesome Nintendo merch — while stocks last! No registration needed — play and celebrate the next level of Nintendo gaming with us!
“Customers who pre-ordered for Click & Collect or In-Store Collection can collect their console from 12:01am. Photo ID is required to collect pre-orders. We will also have limited stock of Nintendo Switch 2 available for purchase!”
The selected stores that are running the event are Boucher Road (BT12 6HR), Glasgow (G34 9DL), Stockport (SK1 2HH), Romford (RM1 1AU) and Hull (HU6 7PT).
Nintendo Switch 2 will be released at retailers around the world on 5 June 2025, priced at £395.99 in the United Kingdom, €469.99 across Europe, and $449.99 in the United States.
