Slender: The Arrival spooks Wii U on October 22nd

Perfectly timed to arrive as Halloween approaches, Blue Isle Studios has announced that survival horror Slender: The Arrival will release for Wii U on October 22nd.

The official video game adaptation of the Internet horror phenomenon, the developer has worked to make immersive use of the Wii Remote – which is used as an in-game flashlight to cast away shadows in Slender Man’s dark and haunting world as you search for clues.

Described by eye witnesses as a thin, unnaturally tall man dressed in a black suit with a blank, featureless face, Slender Man is envisaged as the stuff of nightmares. Slender: The Arrival promises brand new story elements and extended levels to a world that heavily preys on tension and paranoia by playing on haunting visions and audio cues.

The Arrival’s storyline sees Lauren search for her friend Kate, who recently became obsessed with Slender Man’s folklore. With your trusty flashlight, players will explore abandoned houses, creepy mines and dark forests while Slender Man’s menacing presence stalks you.

Slender: The Arrival will release for Wii U in the Nintendo eShop across North America on October 22nd.
