Slain: Back From Hell Wii U Port In Doubt After “Weak” Sales On Platform

Once listed for release on the Nintendo eShop way back in 2015, it appears that Digerati Distribution has had a change of heart about porting Slain: Back From Hell to Wii U.

The game, which revolves around Bathoryn’s quest through a doomed Gothic world to liberate seven great towers, is a Kickstarter-backed project. It hadn’t reached the Wii U stretch goal, but the game had later appeared in Nintendo of America’s Nintendo eShop release schedule.

“No, we can’t confirm Wii U date, or that it is happening just yet,” developer Wolf Brew Games admitted on NeoGAF. “We were hoping it would but sales on that platform are just too weak to justify the port from what we have seen.”

Whether the excitement that has surrounded Nintendo Switch caused the shift in their decision is unclear, but perhaps we could see Slain: Back From Hell release on the new home gaming system.
