Activision has announced that Skylanders SuperChargers will deliver franchise firsts with racing and online multiplayer modes.
With developer Vicarious Visions at the helm, players will be able to enjoy Adventure Mode alone or co-operatively with other Portal Masters either online or locally.
Whereas a new Racing Mode can let you take on another player locally or compete online against up to four players. Aross land, sky and sea, players will look to score a record on the leaderboard in three-lap time trials, with the Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack coming with six race tracks – each with hidden routes and power-ups galore.
Activision has also confirmed that voice chat is available, although I’ll believe that when I see it on Wii U…

Skylanders SuperChargers enables gamers to race against friends all over the world and brings an exciting new expansion to the Skylanders gameplay experience,” comments Activision Publishing’s senior vice president of consumer marketing John Coyne.
“We continue to be firmly committed to driving Skylanders’ spirit for providing originality, innovation, creativity and fun with each game.”
Skylanders SuperChargers will release for Wii U in North America on September 20th, and in Europe on September 25th.
