Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure gains launch trailer, Wii screens

Activision have released the launch trailer and a number of Wii screenshots for Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, which went on sale across Europe on Friday.

Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, which is the first game to deliver a cross-platform experience, allows players to bring toys to life in a magical world through the use of a Portal of Power peripheral. As the toys themselves remember their experiences, this means that progress is able to be seamlessly transferred across various platforms, which includes Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Mac.

You’re able to collect over 30 different characters each with their own powers and personality. The sinister Portal Master Kaos has cast them out of the Skylands and banished them to earth, where they are frozen and appear to look like toys, but they are very much alive on the inside and only gamers can free them by placing them on the Portal of Power so they can return to the Skylands and defeat Kaos.

Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure is available in Europe and North America, for Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Mac.
