Japan’s Weekly Famitsu magazine has revealed that Skull Kid will appear as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors Legends.

The character first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, although is more widely recognised as the misunderstood antagonist in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

His weapon is an Ocarina, and he will fight alongside a fairy. The new issue also reveals that The Wind Waker’s Phantom Ganon, will appear as a new boss character.

Koei Tecmo Games has so far revealed Tetra, King of Hyrule and Toon Link as additions in the Nintendo 3DS exclusive, which will also be made available in the Wii U version to those that purchase the handheld counterpart.

Hyrule Warriors Legends will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in Japan on January 21st, and across North America and Europe in Q1 2016.
