Headup and Goon Squad have confirmed a release date for Skatesterre, which will be released for Nintendo Switch 2 in the coming weeks.
In this fast-paced arcade skating game, you will play as Dutch skateboarder Sterre Meijer, who is better known as Surfsterre.
With the developer looking to harken back to the golden era of arcade skateboarding, you will be challenged to chain together huge combos, land stylish tricks and chase the perfect high score run as you carve through urban playgrounds crammed with rails, ramps, gaps and hidden lines.
Promising “tons of sick tricks to master,” the levels have been designed for “experimentation and mastery,” and the experience is backed with a high-energy soundtrack that has “underground skate punk and skate rock tracks that channel the attitude of late-90s and early-2000s skate culture.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

Skatesterre will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 13 August 2026.
