2K and Firaxis Games have announced that Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Steer the course of history, you will once again have the chance to establish your civilization, construct cities and architectural wonders to expand your territory, conquer or cooperate with rival civilizations in pursuit of prosperity, and explore the far reaches of the unknown world.
“In Civilization VII, you will establish an empire and guide your people throughout the ages of history,” explains Firaxis Games executive producer Dennis Shirk.
“With the new mouse controls, players can enjoy a more intuitive gameplay experience. Civilization VII launches on the same day as [Nintendo] Switch 2. If you already own the Nintendo Switch version, you can experience mouse controls on [Nintendo] Switch 2 by purchasing the upgrade.”
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 5 June 2025.
