Yacht Club Games has announced that Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment will release first on Nintendo Switch, before arriving on other platforms.
“Get ready for Shovel Knight Co-op using Joy-Cons, Specter of Torment, Body Swap Mode, new challenge stages, new feats, and more on your new Nintendo Switch!” the developer shared in an update. “The other consoles and standalone versions will follow suit in April (dates to be confirmed once submitted and approved by platform holders).”
The developer also shared that they will show “the first, playable look at Specter of Torment and Shovel Knight Co-op” on Nintendo Switch at PAX South, which takes place in San Antonio, Texas between Friday 27th – Sunday 29th January 2017.
There will be a free update that adds a Shovel Knight Sound Test Mode where you can listen to all the tracks from every campaign, and, as a reminder, those that own Shovel Knight already will see it updated to Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove – with which you will “continue to receive all planned game updates.”
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove will release on Nintendo Switch in April, priced at $9.99 and $24.99 respectively.
