Yacht Club Games will release a Shovel Knight Gold Edition amiibo, which is now available to pre-order on GameStop priced at $15.99.
This has emerged after the developer confirmed that the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove amiibo 3-Pack – which has Plague Knight, Specter Knight, and King Knight amiibo – will unlock new costumes in the game when scanned on Nintendo Switch, Wii U, or Nintendo 3DS.
Those costumes are the Boomtech Plague Knight, Lich Lord Specter Knight, and Ultimate Supreme King Knight, which can be worn when battling it out in Shovel Knight Showdown.
The three amiibo will also unlock new platforming challenges in each game’s Challenge mode, as well as a fairy friend to accompany you on your adventures.
At the time of writing, the Shovel Knight Gold Edition amiibo has a placeholder release date on 31st December 2019.
