ShopTo Accepting Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders Online

With Amazon, GAME, and GameStop only allowing customers to register their interest, ShopTo has become the first online retailer to start accepting Nintendo Switch pre-orders.

With Nintendo promising “full game demonstrations, the list of launch window titles, as well as launch date, price, product configuration and related specifics,” prior to Switch’s March release, there are no up-front costs for placing your pre-order.

ShopTo adds: “The price has not yet been confirmed by Nintendo meaning a placeholder of £9,999.00 will show in your pre-orders section. You will be notified when the price is confirmed and will not be charged anything until dispatch.” Let’s hope everyone doesn’t get accidentally charged that amount on release…

In the past week, we have learned a lot about Nintendo Switch, from the third-party partners that will support it, that developers will be able to use Unreal Engine 4, that it is powered by a custom NVIDIA Tegra processor, and that it won’t provide a second screen experience like Wii U.
