Japanese children’s variety programme Oha Suta has promised that it will reveal “shocking” Pokémon news this week, that represents “a moment a new story begins.”

Serebii reports that the episode will air at 7.05am JST on Thursday 31st May (11.05pm BST on Wednesday 30th May), and it is now widely expected that this will be an early look at Pokémon Let’s GO! Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s GO! Eevee.

This comes after the Pokémon Let’s GO! Pikachu logo had leaked online, and the company that Nintendo normally uses to register website domains soon created two for the game titles.

The games are rumoured to be Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition remakes for Nintendo Switch that not only see Red and Blue return but, as fans have long requested, will let your Pokémon follow you around.

PokéRides will continue to replace Hidden Machines (HMs), and, in a move that’s similar to Festival Plaza that was also introduced in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, there is an online hub area where you can interact with other players. As can be guessed from the game’s title, it will also have some integration with the globally popular location-based game, Pokémon GO.
