With EB Games handling distribution in Australia, The Pokémon Company International has announced that those in the United Kingdom will have to visit Smyths Toys Superstores to receive Shiny Rayquaza.

The promotion is helping to support the Pokémon TCG: XY — Ancient Origins expansion’s launch this week. The distribution will start on Monday 24th August and run for four weeks up until Sunday 20th September.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players can request a free serial code from staff in-store, which can be redeemed in their game to receive Shiny Rayquaza. This knows the Dragon Ascent move, that allows it to Mega Evolve in battle.

Whereas some lucky fans can also meet Pikachu, who will make special guest appearances in selected Smyths Toys Superstores branches in late summer.

The retailer will also exclusively stock the Shiny Rayquaza EX Box during the promotion period, which includes a unique oversize card featuring Shiny Mega Rayquaza-EX, four Pokémon TCG booster packs, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

  1. the smyths i went to today said i couldn’t have the code without purchasing the rayquaza tcg pack,it says free on the website and even in the tv advert.

    1. Same here! Which Is why I’m making a complaint to the toy store, I suggest you do the same! And to all other people who got ripped off! We shouldn’t be forced into buying something that is supposed to be free!

    2. Same here, I even searched it up on my phone to prove to them that’s what it said, if anything it’s false advertising they can be sued for that right

    3. i had to get 4 different codes to actually get a rayquaza kept telling me they were invalid codes and i even got locked out of the code claim
