Niantic has announced that you will soon have another chance to catch Shiny Meltan in Pokémon GO for a limited time.
Once you have caught the rare Mythical Pokémon you can transfer it to either Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee!. However, the catch is that, as with Meltan, you must use a Mystery Box to have the chance to encounter Shiny Meltan.
For those that may not know, the Mystery Box can only be obtained when linking Pokémon GO with Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!.
After opening the Mystery Box, you normally have to wait seven days before you can do so again. But for this event, which runs from 1pm PDT on Wednesday 24th April to 1pm PDT on Sunday 5th May, you will be able to open it once every three days.
In that time you may encounter a Shiny Meltan, and, as well as that, Niantic has added that even once the event is over, you will still be able to open the Mystery Box every three days.
