Shiny Mamoswine distribution set for 2014 Pokémon National Championships

Those attending the 2014 Pokémon Video Game National Championships can receive a Shiny Mamoswine, with the distribution event being inspired by 2013 Masters Division World Champion winner Arash Ommati.

He was the first Pokémon Video Game World Champion from Europe in the history of the Pokémon Championships, with Mamoswine being part of his winning team. The Level 50 Shiny Pokémon has icicle Spear, Earthquake, Icicle Crash and Rock Slide moves, as well as the ability Thick Fat, .

This year’s event will take place in Manchester between Saturday 24th may – Sunday 25th May, and will see players compete to win a place at the 2014 Pokémon World Championships in Washington, DC in August.

Competitors will need to bring their 3DS, 3DS XL or 2DS, copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y, and Player ID to take part in the Championships. The Player ID being found through the official website, or provided when registering at the event. In order to receive the Shiny Mamoswine, players do not need to compete but will be required to bring their handheld and copy of the game.

The VGC and TCG National Championships will be taking place at the following locations with three age restricted divisions:
* 2014 Pokémon UK National Championships: May 24–25, 2014, in Manchester, UK
* 2014 Pokémon Italian National Championships: May 31–June 1, 2014, in Milan, Italy
