Japan’s Weekly Famitsu magazine had the chance to sit down to interview the developers behind Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, now being referred to under the working title Genei Ibunroku #FE.

Such discussion reveals that the Wii U exclusive crossover project will have heroes and villains inspired by characters that appear in Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light.

These were selected through character popularity polls, with confirmation that Cain and Abel will make an appearance in the game.

The developers confirm that it will take players around 30 hours to complete Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem’s main story, although such estimation doesn’t include side stories and other content.

They clarify that all content and features are already in place, and that the game is currently being balanced and bug-tested.

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, or Genei Ibunroku #FE, will release exclusively for Wii U in 2016.
