The Pokémon Company International and Game Freak aren’t quite ready to talk about the post-game content in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, but they are happy to tease that it exists.

When asked about what players could expect after completing the main story, game director Shigeru Ohmori shared that there was “a lot of content” – some of which the competitive scene will enjoy engaging with.

“I can’t really say too much today, of course, but I do want to say it’s not just the story, and then you’re done with the game,” Ohmori explained to USGamer.

“We’ve got a lot of content for players to enjoy after they finish the story. Also, for players who are really big fans of the battle system and the competitive scene, there’s going to be a lot for them to engage with.”

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on November 15th.
