Shigeru Miyamoto is to give a keynote speech at the Computer Entertainment Developers Conference 2018, which takes place at the Pacifico Yokohama Conference Center in Japan later this month.

The keynote speech, which is called “10 Years On From Where Should We Make Games?” and scheduled for Wednesday 22nd August, will see the legendary game designer talk about the current approach to development while reflecting on what has changed in the 10 years since he last spoke at the conference.

That was in 2008, when Miyamoto had spoken about how Nintendo had approached developing Wii Music while sharing his thoughts on game production and universal design.

Nintendo will also host a separate session on the same day, that will explore how they worked towards creating a minimalistic but clear user interface for Nintendo Switch.

Computer Entertainment Developers Conference 2018 will take place from Wednesday 22nd – Friday 24th August at the Pacifico Yokohama Conference Center in Japan.
