Shaun the Sheep Bleats Into Super Mario Maker

Nintendo has teamed up with the Oscar-winning studio Aardman, seeing a Shaun the Sheep Mystery Mushroom costume added in Super Mario Maker.

The fleecy costume can be unlocked by completing the related Event Course called Shaun’s Mossy Mole Mischief, which will become available in the Wii U exclusive tomorrow, Friday 3rd June.

This Event Course is inspired by Shaun’s home, Mossy Bottom Farm, and saw Aardman work closely with Nintendo to recreate it in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario will encounter mischievous Monty Moles, crazy contraptions and silly secrets, and, once complete, you will unlock the woolly Shaun the Sheep costume.

“Having grown up in a generation of technology that, due to its nature of exposing its inner workings, allowed you to build and adjust your own games – it’s what inspired me and many here in Aardman’s interactive team to do what we do,” comments Aardman’s digital group creative director Daniel Efergan.

“Super Mario Maker harks back to that age, inspiring a new generation of happy creators. To have one of our icons hanging out with one of our idols, and for such an exceptional project, is a dream come true.”

Super Mario Maker is now available exclusively for Wii U worldwide.
