Shadow of the Eternals fails to achieve Kickstarter goal

Precursor Games have failed to achieve their crowdfunding target for their relaunched Kickstarter campaign.

Despite 5,932 backers having pledged their support the amount raised was below half of the $750,000 target that they’d set out to achieve, totalling $323,950. Such target had been half the $1.5 million goal that the studio had sought within their original campaign.

It’s certainly a shame, with much of the early footage for the game holding much promise.

“We here at Precursor Games would like to thank everyone who were involved in supporting, developing and promoting Shadow of the Eternals and its Kickstarter campaign,” the developer shared within an update.

“It is unfortunate that we were unable to crowd-fund this project at this time, but we have not given up. We intend to pursue other avenues with the ultimate goal of having our games come to fruition.”
