Brace yourselves for the provocative return of Senran Kagura’s ninja troupe, with Marvelous Entertainment revealing plans to bring the fast-paced beat’em up sequel to western shores in Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson this summer.

With the Nintendo 3DS exclusive having released in Japan last year as Senran Kagura 2: Shinku, Marvelous Europe (Europe and Australia) and XSEED Games (North America) will handle publishing – the game set to be released physically and digitally through the Nintendo eShop.

Those anticipating Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson’s arrival can expect to pick up directly from where Senran Kagura Burst left off, tracing the rivalries between the Hanzo and Hebijo Academies. Deep Crimson will keep the original Japanese voiceovers, while new additions include Pair Battles that see two shinobi warriors from opposing academies join forces, improved animations and framerate, local and online co-operative play, and the chance to take photos of the girls posing in real life environments.

Marvelous Europe have served up two limited editions for your perusal, namely the ‘Happy Boobs’ Edition! (£49.99) and the Shinobi Collector’s Edition (£74.99) which may be pre-ordered exclusively through the publisher’s official website.

The ‘Happy Boobs’ Edition! will contain the following contents:
* A physical copy of Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson
* 2 Disk Official soundtrack featuring selected music from Senran Kagura 2:Deep Crimson
* Exclusive Hanzo & Hebijo symbol stickers
* Exclusive fold out poster
* ‘Happy Boobs’ Edition box!

Whereas the Shinobi Collector’s Edition includes everything above, as well as an exclusive oppai mouse mat (…with 3D boobs…), wall scroll, a Shinobi Certificate, and a Shinobi Collector’s Edition box to keep it all in. There’s also an Ultimate Shinobi Limited Edition (£74.99) – with 50 available – that’ll see Senran Kagura creator Kenichiro Takaki sign the uniquely numbered Shinobi Certificate for you.

Meanwhile those in North America will be able to pre-order a ‘Double D’ Edition from XSEED Games, that will include the two-disc soundtrack.

Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson is targeted toward an August release in Europe, North America and Australia, with pre-order payments being taken now to help cover manufacturing costs for cartrides and limited edition extras – Marvelous Europe explaining that these are being made to order.

If that didn’t set your pulse racing, Marvelous have shared the game’s opening cinematic which you can immediately transport into your eyeballs below. Enjoy!
