NEOWIZ and JellySnow Studio have announced that their sprawling sci-fi action-platformer Metal Unit is out now on Nintendo Switch.
The 2D side-scrolling experience looks to tell “the tragic story of humanity’s battle to reclaim its home from the clutches of monsters and machines.”
With two difficulty modes – Normal and Hell – the developers have used roguelite elements alongside a persistent point-based research tree, which will let you unlock new items and skills with each playthrough.
That will let you adapt your gear for every session, as you work to conquer challenging bosses and more than 50 unique enemy types.
“Metal Unit has been a labor of love, and from the start, we wanted to get it to the Nintendo Switch players,” explains JellySnow Studio art director Tae Hoon Kim. “We can’t wait to see players outfit their personalized M-Unit 11 suits and decide how to regain control of Earth.”
Metal Unit is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
