Merge Games and Teku Studios have announced that Candle: The Power of the Flame will release on Nintendo Switch.
This action adventure game places an emphasis on solving puzzles and surviving a hostile environment, set in a world that has been created with hand-drawn watercolour images that were individually painted and scanned into the game.
You play as Teku, a “Light-Guide” in the service of Yaqa, the Tumaykú tribe’s shaman. The honour that was bestowed upon Teku came at a price in that one of his hands was removed and replaced with a magical candle that would never run down.
Now, the fate of the Tumaykú tribe is in the balance. When the hated Wakcha clan attack the village and leave it in flames, Yaqa has disappeared. Sworn to protect his master, Teku must right the wrongs of the Wakcha, rescue his master and protect his candle’s flame at all costs.
Candle: The Power of the Flame will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in July priced at £14.99 (€19.99/ $19.99). It will hit retailers at the end of August £24.99 (€29.99 / $29.99), with a Signature Edition collector’s version to follow.
