Deadleaf Games has announced that Nom Nom Apocalypse will release on Nintendo Switch.
This top-down roguelite shooter is set in a post-apocalyptic city plagued by mutant food monstrosities.
You must suit up as a trigger-happy chef and use more than 30 culinary weapons to save the world, with the chance to team up with a friend in local co-op.
Those weapons include the rapid-fire Ketchup Squirter, shotgunning Mustard Blaster, and as-seen-on-TV Fork Crossbow, which you can use to run-and-gun your way through the mutant munchies that you encounter.
“There’s an earnest creativity behind classic monster movies I find truly inspiring,” explains Deadleaf Games owner Josh Sacco.
“For my first independent game, I wanted to channel this campy history with creepy yet cute monsters and eye-popping art, but these dressings bely a tough-as-nails arcade shooter demanding focus, precision, and perseverance.”
Nom Nom Apocalypse will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
