Asmodee Digital and Z-Man Games have announced that Pandemic will release on Nintendo Switch this week, which is based on Matt Leacock’s million-selling board game.

Playing as disease-fighting specialists, the cooperative turn-based strategy game will challenge you to race against time to contain four epidemics that threaten to wipe out different regions of the world.

To defeat this biological horror, you will play as one of the seven specialist roles: contingency planner, dispatcher, medic, scientist, researcher, operations expert, or quarantine specialist.

These roles each have unique abilities and complementary skill sets, requiring that you work together to discover a cure before it’s too late.

In September, additional content will release for the game that will introduce a new virus and new roles – On the Brink: Virulent Strain and On the Brink: Roles and Events.

Pandemic will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on August 1st priced at $19.99.
