Save The Kingdom In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition On Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have revealed that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.

Omega Force has returned to rework the game for the portable home console successor, which includes all Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass content, enhanced visuals and frame rate, battles packed with more enemies on screen and an ultra-tough new Calamity Mode.

Those who own the original Nintendo Switch version can transfer existing save data and purchase the digital Nintendo Switch 2 version at a discount on the Nintendo eShop.

Set 100 years before the events in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity offers you the chance to experience the Great Calamity. The in-depth story will depict the events, relationships and dramatic moments of the Great Calamity in “captivating detail.”

With playable characters such as Link, Zelda and the four Champions, you will participate in epic battles “against a backdrop of memorable locations in Hyrule before they were destroyed.” Promising action-packed gameplay that will be familiar to those who have played Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition or Fire Emblem Warriors, the fast-paced and strategic experience will see you perform combos and unleash over-the-top special abilities.

The game’s visual style took inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and you will also be challenged to solve environmental puzzles, unlock weapons and skills, craft with gathered materials, visit shops to obtain items and use the power of the Sheikah Slate.
