Headup and com8com1 have announced that Rigid Force Redux will release on Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
Taking inspiration from classics such as R-Type, Turrican II and Gradius, this shoot ’em up will see you pilot a fighter to lead an assault against an onslaught of alien swarms, gunships, laser wielding mechs and giant creatures.
With upgradeable weapon systems, you can use Force Shards to unlock special offensive and defensive abilities and Energy Orbs to boost the ship’s power supply.
You will need it to topple the game’s largest bosses which range from menacing intergalactic beasts to heavily armed Mechanoids.
That will see you “take out a rampaging Defense Satellite, assault a mutated cave-dwelling plant monster, and survive a nerve-wracking chase against the deadly Blade Guardship,” in your mission to save the galaxy.
Rigid Force Redux will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2020.
