SOEDESCO and VOX Game Studio have announced that Kaze and the Wild Masks will release on Nintendo Switch.

Taking inspiration from “the golden age of platform games” such as Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario World, this colourful 2D platformer promises to take you on a trip down memory lane.

As Kaze, you must save your friend Hugo from a curse that has spread chaos across the Crystal Islands.

You must invoke the powers of the Wild Masks to face enraged living vegetables. Such powers will see you “pounce ferociously like a tiger, soar through the sky like an eagle, sprint fiercely like a lizard and rule the sea like a shark.”

“We’re excited to join forces with SOEDESCO and make Kaze a rabbit to remember,” explains VOX Game Studio CEO André Schaan.

“Their experience with publishing platform and pixel art games such as Teslagrad and Owlboy will be a great benefit to Kaze and the Wild Masks.”

SOEDESCO marketing manager Bas de Jonge adds: “No publisher’s line-up is complete without a rabbit, so we’re very happy to have Kaze on board.

“We love the 90’s vibe that Kaze brings back with its fantastic looking pixel art, and after all, who doesn’t like rabbits?!”

Kaze and the Wild Masks will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
