With freemium Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND arriving on the Wii U’s Nintendo eShop this week, the Nintendo Direct on Tuesday saw Satoru Shibata issue a challenge.
Having sung his way through Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” with his wonderfully velvety voice, Shibata-san scored a rather well-deserved 90.609 points and invited Wii U owners to see whether they can beat his record.
Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND will grant access to a library of 1,500 songs at launch – available from October 4th – with more promised in the future. Players will have to purchase tickets to enjoy them though, which can be bought for one hour (£1.79), 24 hour (£4.49), or as a 30-day ticket (£13.49).
