Sakurai teases Kid Icarus: Uprising’s composer

Whilst Nintendo of Japan recently opened an official website for forthcoming Nintendo 3DS release Kid Icarus: Uprising, it’s a little light on content aside from a rather majestic taster of the game’s soundtrack.

Having been asked as to the identity of its composer Masahiro Sakurai, Director for Kid Icarus: Uprising, responded by stating that it was someone who had previously worked on Super Smash Bros. Brawl (or Super Smash X as it was known in Japan) before linking to a rather extensive list.

Whilst the list is described as being a “Who’s who” of Japanese compositional talent for the videogames industry, such a tease doesn’t reveal who specifically the composer is. Still, it’s unsurprising that Nintendo would seek someone with an established pedigree.
