Japanese game developers have shared with Famitsu their resolutions as to what they wish to achieve next year.

For Super Smash Bros. series creator Masahiro Sakurai, his goal is resoundingly clear: “I resolve to complete development on Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U and release it in 2014.”

With the Wii U still unable to grasp the momentum that Nintendo desperately seek, it’s easy to see why let alone even begin to understand the pressure that Sakurai must feel that he’s under.

With the 3DS having celebrated strong software releases throughout 2013, it is the Wii U that now receives deserved attention – Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, X, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Super Smash Bros. leading the charge.
