With an eventual Nintendo Direct set to reveal the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition release date, it would appear that Amazon Mexico may have leaked it ahead of schedule.

The online retailer has listed the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive with a Friday 29th May 2020 release date, which, while we can’t confirm is exactly accurate, matches the whispers we have heard about the month that Nintendo has been lining it up for launch.

This remake was recently rated for release in South Korea, indicating that development was complete and the game was entering the final pre-launch stages.

After taking hold of an ancient sword that grants its wielder foresight, young hero Shulk and his childhood friend Reyn set out to destroy the Mechon that attacked their colony.

That revenge mission saw Monolith Soft’s expansive RPG receive critical praise for its seamless exploration, engrossing story, and innovative combat when it first released on Wii back in 2011.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
