Nintendo will reveal the Super Mario 3D Collection this week, which has long been rumoured to be coming to Nintendo Switch to celebrate the moustachioed icon’s 35th anniversary.
That’s according to a report from TrueGaming, who cite sources who have indicated that the compilation will be revealed in “the first week of September.”
News about the Super Mario 3D Collection had emerged earlier this year, with sites such as Video Games Chronicle, Eurogamer, Gematsu and VentureBeat backing up each other’s sources.
The original plan was for the collection to be revealed at a Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary event to coincide with E3 2020 in June, although the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had had on the world prevented this from happening.
As to what it contains, it is believed that the Super Mario 3D Collection will come packed with Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy – now remastered for a new generation to experience on the portable home console.
There have also been rumblings that Super Mario 3D World Deluxe will release on Nintendo Switch, which has received additional content beyond the original Wii U release.

If it is not revealed this week, then I predict it will be revealed next week. Or the week after that. Or the week after that. Or the next one.
