Niantic appears to have leaked the “Special Pokémon” that players will receive when connecting Pokémon GO with Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee!.

That brand new Pokémon has been teased ever since the Nintendo Switch exclusives were first revealed, which, taking inspiration from classic Game Boy adventure Pokémon Yellow, will return players to explore the iconic Kanto region with their chosen partner Pokémon, Pikachu or Eevee.

The developer had somehow added the new Pokédex addition as a placeholder for Kecleon, as they, presumably, prepare to make the Color Swap Pokémon start to appear in the location-based game.

With hackers frequently data mining the game to uncover any surprises that they can find, it comes as no surprise that the error was discovered, with Twitter user Chrales (spotted by Serebii) tweeting out the in-game model for the world to scratch their heads over.

With a golden metal nut for a head (or copper for its Shiny appearance) and a small grey body that, like many others, immediately reminded me of Ditto, it’s not the most groundbreaking pocket monster that we’ve ever seen. It wouldn’t be the first Pokémon design to be criticised, at least.

Pokémon Let’s GO, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s GO, Eevee! will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on November 16th.
