The Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations is to see a delay that will mean it will release in 2012, according to Games Radar.
Whilst SEGA previously stated that the version would release alongside the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version in November, a reliable source has apparently informed the site that the publisher is to instead release it in early 2012. This will allow the Nintendo 3DS install base to grow throughout the festive period, and SEGA will then release the game alongside a PlayStation Vita version.
It’s a sensible, if disappointing move, especially considering SEGA have already delayed two of their Nintendo 3DS titles this year. We’ll await further confirmation from the publisher themselves, and keep you posted once we hear something.
